Thymai “Tina” Dong served as a French and Spanish secondary teacher for eleven years after which she transitioned to an administrative role as the District Coordinator for World Languages for seven years, both experiences situated within the K-12 public school system. Thymai recently made a significant change in her professional career by leaving the arena of foreign language education to become a Coordinator for Educator Effectiveness in Austin ISD, a position that grants her the opportunity to work with many more teachers across all content disciplines. Thymai also just began her first semester of doctoral school working toward a graduate degree in Adult, Professional and Community Education. Regardless the specific context, she is dedicated to a life of service helping others achieve their full potential and committed to learning right alongside them.
