Call for Submissions: Jr. High and High School Artwork Needed!

Do you know a high schooler who would love to have his or her artwork featured in a new book?

We are looking for 10 original illustrations by jr. high or high schoolers (6th through 12th grade), to be included in a forthcoming book, Stories of Caring School Leadership by Mark Smylie, Joseph Murphy, and Karen Seashore Louis. Illustrations should depict what a caring school looks like – and especially what it looks like for school leaders and teachers to show their care for students. The artists chosen will be featured throughout the book and will each receive a $25 Amazon gift card.

Here’s what you need to know to submit:

  • Illustrations can be in color, but will be printed in black and white. Illustrations can also be submitted in black and white.
  • To submit, please email a high-resolution scan of the image to Desiree.Bartlett@corwin.com no later than January 31.
  • If selected, permission must be given by the student’s legal guardian to be featured in a book by Corwin. If permission is not given, we cannot use the illustration.

Please write to Desiree.Bartlett@corwin.com with any questions.
