Dave Nagel is an educational consultant and professional developer with over 15 years of experience. A former middle and high school science teacher and administrator in Indianapolis, he developed targeted student proficiency goals to support school improvement. Since 2008, Dave has specialized in teacher and leader collaboration, assessment, feedback, and effective grading practices, drawing expertise from John Hattie’s Visible Learning research. He has authored five books, including the PLC+ series, and has been featured in Principal Leadership and Educational Leadership. Bruce Potter is a seasoned school administrator with over 30 years of experience in education. He began as a classroom teacher and has held leadership positions as a principal and superintendent, serving in the latter role for 11 years. In 2013, he secured legislation to establish a public school for at-risk and special education students. Currently, Bruce leads his district’s certification as a Visible Learning school, emphasizing effective PLC implementation. He has also presented his district’s achievements at national conferences and serves as an independent consultant for Corwin Press and co-founder of the Center for Collaborative Expertise.
