Maity Kirk, mother of two boys, Andy and Nate, has been an educator in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania since 1990. After teaching 2nd grade at Winchester Thurston School until 2000, she left to raise her boys, work as private tutor, and continue her education. In 2011 she resumed teaching as a day-to-day sub and in 2013 returned to the classroom where she currently teaches 4th grade at Foster Elementary School in the Mt. Lebanon School District.
