October has always been one of my favorite months—for two words: pumpkin pie. Pumpkin anything, really. But this October we can celebrate much more than just the changing of the season and pumpkin spice lattes.
October has two very important themes; it is Connected Educators Month and Bullying Prevention Month. This month on Corwin Connect, you’ll see a lot of both of these themes.
In September, we asked Connected Educators to send us their stories of how they got connected or how being connected has made a difference in their schools; they responded with a flood of wonderful posts that we’re thrilled to publish throughout the next few weeks! Some of their stories are truly moving, and I hope you enjoy them and find ways to get connected as well. And it’s not too late—if you’d like to contribute a blog post, email connect@corwin.com.
Our new Corwin Connected Educators Series is also a great way to begin the Connectedness journey and read about how Connected Educators are changing education.
October is also Bullying Prevention Month. We start the campaign with the publication of noted anti-bullying experts Sameer Hinduja and Justin Patchin’s new book, Bullying Beyond the Schoolyard, Second Edition. We’ll also have blog posts from some of Corwin’s best authors on bullying.
We hope you have a great October, and we look forward to connecting with you!
