Every year, Corwin gathers for a week to brainstorm, debrief, and plan for the next year. One day is each department’s “Fun Day”: a day to relax, laugh, and bond as a team. This year, Corwin’s Publishing and Professional Learning Group (PPLG) went to a park and participated in several “Minute to Win It” games to win bicycle parts. The teams were tested physically and mentally, and had to work together to come up with creative solutions. After assembling the bikes, we were able to meet three children from the Boys and Girls Club who had been chosen to receive the bikes we’d made. It was a special day for everyone.
